MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township will be adding a new addition, a trampoline park.
Launch Trampoline Park has moved into the Meridian Mall, being the first location to open in Michigan. The park will be providing a place for families to come together, Launch Assistant General Manager Peter Terry said.
"A lot of times it's kids--school, parents--work, you need a place for them both to be family, and love and have fun, and that's what this is," Peter Terry said.
The park is filled with 15,000 square feet of connected trampolines, a laser tag arena spanning 2,500 square feet, an arcade center and an on-site concession area serving pizza, ice cream and slushies.
This Launch location will also be the first-ever mall location and was brought to Meridian Mall by the owner for a reason.
"As you know, as a lot of us know, malls are going out or business. Through E commerce picking up, there's not really a, malls don't have a great draw, and not only did he want to have it at a mall, but to bring the mall back to what it used to be," Peter Terry added.
The trampoline park will be brining jobs to Meridian Township, serving as a first job for Olivia Terry, who will be working as a cashier.
"And I thought, what a great job to be able to work at a trampoline park because you just, you get to have fun, but you also get to make sure everyone is safe, and it just seemed like the perfect first job," said Olivia Terry.
Launch also has a community outreach program.
"So we have what is called is "Launch Cares Movement." That is the National Brand Awareness movement where we are going to be out in the community to different events, parades, carnivals, schools, 5K races, any event. We are looking to partner up with any organization," Peter Terry said.
Although Launch has not released a specific grand opening date at this time, Peter Terry said it will be coming soon.
