EAST LANSING - Earlier this month, the East Lansing Food Co-op owners decided that they would be selling their storefront located on Northwind Drive.
The ELFCO Board voted to close the store on or before February 4th. ELFCO has come to the decision to officially close the store this week on Saturday January 28th, 2017 at 6 p.m. A clearance sale offering between 20 through 50 percent off on bulk, grocery, wellness and beauty care, refrigerated items , and produce will run all week long.
ELFCO declined to comment at this time. General Manager Bruce Grambau did mention that ELFCO is still trying to determine how they will move forward in the future and if that means consolidating.
Interested residents are encouraged to stay in the loop by joining the ELFCO Advocates Outreach Facebook Group. ELFCO has been apart of the community or more than 40 years and although still unsure of their next steps, have made it known through their website that they don’t plan on leaving the community for good just yet.
