UPDATE:
OKEMOS - Okemos High School and Holt High School met on February 2 at 6pm for the boys swimming meet.
It was a loud Thursday night at the Okemos High School swimming pool. Both fans and swimmers cheered and supported their teams.
Okemos and Holt were two points apart prior to the 400-yard freestyle relay. But the Chief's team of Adam Marsh, Jake Seeterin, Ian Poland, and Wyatt Kuhlman took first place and won over the Rams scoring 97 to 89.
Okemos swim coach Patrick Saucedo says, "I always look forward to this meet against Holt every year with the boys because it's always been a close meet."
Holt took the first in the 200-yard medley relay with a team of Eric Dawdy, Dan Kalchik, Ben Majeske, and Erik Fiasky.
As for diving, Chris Kruger won with the highest score with more than 50 points above the Chiefs.
It was the first loss for Holt of the season. But the Rams will have one more chance at Okemos at the League Championship in three weeks.
