OKEMOS, MI - The popular event now in its 18th year, had a large turn out. With a variety of local vendors for people to try, there was something tasty to fill anyone's cravings.
On Saturday, Oct. 28th, the Okemos High School (OHS) Commons was filled with more people than it regularly has during any school day's lunch hour.
Tickets were available to be purchased at the door, providing one serving per restaurant. Although, it's always nice to eat a yummy meal, there was more behind this event. A benefit that would raise money for the OHS music/choir program. General Admission was $15. All Proceeds will purchase instruments, uniforms, trip expenses etc.
OHS Choir students/members worked fervently throughout the event in their OHS Choir school apparel. They were all hands on deck, serving people, cleaning, and assisting in anyway that they could.
The event was accompanied with music by musician and singer Taylor Taylor. Taylor describes her music as a jazzy-pop-style fused with classical guitar skills.
