HASLETT - The Fowlerville and Haslett boys Varsity Baseball squads came into Thursday's game with nearly identical records, and these two teams stayed neck and neck until Haslett's bats came alive. The score remained 0-0 into the 5th inning where the Vikings then broke the tie, scoring 3 runs. Senior Hayden Cross and Junior Jaden Thelen both drove in a run to propel Haslett to a 4-0 victory.
Some ladies softball action was underway at 4 pm yesterday as the Haslett Vikings faced the Fowlerville Gladiators. Starting in the first inning, #14 Lindsey Darby singled down the first baseline to put her team up 1-0.
However, the real story was Fowlerville's fifth inning, where they scored 5 of their 7 runs. #2 Kaylee Moulton doubled to left, scoring 2 runs and bringing the tally to 6-0, before scoring from second on a throwing error in their 7-0 win over Haslett.
