MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - BestMaze Corn Maze of Williamston claims they have the best scare around.
It all started 16 years ago when owner and designer of the maze, Mark Benjamin, says he realized he was at a great location for a maze. Not long after the maze, came the Haunted Trail.
The trail is full of screaming monsters and props that are changed up every year in order to keep those who dare to enter, on their toes.
While the Trail of Terror is only opened at night, the maze is open during the day.
The design for the maze starts one year in advance.
"I draw it all up during the winter. Then in May we plant the corn field and then the end of May and June we're out putting in all the trails. The haunted trail, I'm going to national haunters conventions in St. Louis, Missouri in the winter, buying props and I trade props with a dozen different haunts all across the country," said Benjamin.
This year's maze design features a Finding Dory theme. There are shapes of a Clown Fish, octopus, and Blue Tang.
All of the activities at BestMaze are open to the public until the weekend of Halloween.
