HASLETT - The St. Johns Red Wings clenched their first win of the season on Sept. 17th against the Haslett Vikings.
The Vikings who were struggling to convert on downs, were no match when it came to the Red Wings defense.
“I thought we controlled the ball pretty well at times, I think we stopped ourselves a couple times on a couple miscommunications in the huddle and a couple penalties, we controlled the ball a lot tonight. I credit their defense, they slowed us down and made it tough but I think our defense played outstanding.”
St John’s only let up one touchdown early in the first quarter by Haslett’s Ben Britain, which led them to a final score of 27-7.
