LANSING - The Lansing 5:01, along with Grand River Connection, held their final of three events at the R.E. Olds Museum and Impression 5 on July 26.
The goal of this event is to bring young interns and professionals from the Lansing area together to network.
Many corporations have come to support this talent engagement program to encourage young interns to consider the Lansing area when starting their careers after their internships.
Interns are able to listen to professionals who work, live and play in Lansing and are passionate about the city. These professionals are looking to show these interns all the great opportunities and aspects that Lansing has to offer.
This program is set up with three events in order to showcase Lansing and some of the fun things to do. This last event was a way to show interns how to meet people and make it in the professional world.
"We have different corporations that have come on to support the program and their interns are able to engage in our programs and events and our promotional activities so that we can promote why people want to live, work and play here in Greater Lansing after their done with their internship," said Josh Holliday, Program Manager for the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.
Interns were able to listen and ask questions to a panel of professionals while in the museum and then headed to Impression 5 to enjoy food and drinks while connecting with professionals.
