MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Summer camps for kids are happening all summer at the Harris Nature Center.
Kids can attend camps that last for one day, two days, or four half days.
The center offers a variety of camps for kids from the toddler ages to sixth grade.
Some of the camp themes include bird watching, reptiles, and treasure hunters.
Kit Rich, the Coordinator for the Harris Nature Center talked about the importance of the camps for kids.
"We think it's really important for the kids to be able to get outside in nature and play, explore, make discoveries on their own. Like for instance when we're taking a walk we might and turn over some rocks and just discover what lives there."
