UPDATE:
EAST LANSING - The City Of East Lansing recently put on their first "Winter Glow" event to celebrate the winter season in downtown East Lansing.
Downtown East Lansing was filled with winter activities such as ice carving, an open fire, and horse rides.
Children gathered around the fire, roasted marshmallows, and sipped their hot chocolate. There was also an ornament decorating tent was set up next to the fire keeping kids warm as they prepared ornament to take home.
Inside the Marriott Hotel, kids were able to capture the moment with Santa and Mrs. Claus while outside, pet his reindeer.
At 5'o clock in the afternoon, more than 500 plastic buckets with candles inside were lit and placed throughout East Lansing's downtown, bringing a winter glow to the community.
Next year's Winter Glow has set for December 1st, 2013.
