MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Parks & Recreation Department are partnering with the Capital Area District Libraries to encourage families to enjoy reading and the outdoors by posting a children’s book – a page or two at a time – at intervals in a park, hiking trail or other outdoor site.

The StoryWalk® program is being launched at Orlando Park in Haslett.

The first story to be featured is the
2012 Michigan Reads! One State One Children’s Book selection Moose on the Loose by Kathy-jo Wargin.

HOMTV will be providing LIVE coverage of the StoryWalk® launch ceremony on Thursday, June 2nd at 1 pm.

Cable subscribers can watch the ceremony by turning to Comcast Cable channel 21.

Non-cable subscribers or those who live outside the viewing area will have the opportunity to view the event through a live video stream on HOMTV’s website at www.homtv.net.
