EAST LANSING - Okemos senior captain Anders Staky led his Chiefs into Suburban Friday night with nothing but his best, completing a hat trick en route to a, 6-0, shutout over Eastside.
"He had a great game tonight," Okemos head coach Bill Sipola said after the game.
"He works really hard. He's a senior, and he wants to get far in this league, and win the league and go further in the tournament. He's pushing everybody, and everybody is reacting positively."
Okemos took the last meeting between the two teams, 4-0, on January 30. Six days later sophomore goalie Cole Hetrick recorded his second straight shutout against the Stars.
"He made some big saves in the end that preserved that shutout," Sipola said.
"Good for him. He is our only goaltender now, so he has got to play every game."
