MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - During a recent Planning Commission meeting, the Board discussed the Special Use Permit (SUP) request for the Pairolero case. Robbie Pairolero plans to construct an optometry clinic in a residential district.
Pairolero explained in his comments to the board that he went back to the drawing board to comply with the needed variances for the Board to grant his request.
The lot Pairolero owns is relatively small, but he reached out to residents to buy their property to create a bigger parking lot. The residents weren't interested in selling, "If I could tie the parking lot together that would that help in some shape or form I guess what I am saying is I did reach out and they just will not, they have no interest in selling," said Robbie Pairolero.
He also stressed that he tried all of his options to the board. The board gave Pairolero feedback and clarification on what needs to happen in order to move forward.
The Planning Commission did not make a decision on the Special Use Permit case at the meeting.
The discussion will continue during the next Planning Commission meeting on December 14th where Pairolero hopes to be granted a Special Use Permit for his property.
