LANSING - The Palmer twins were born in November of 1997. They grew up with sports and playing them. Angela got involved with lacrosse when she was in seventh grade, and Tony got involved with football when he was in fourth grade.

What’s unique about these two is that heading into high school they had a decision to make, to enroll at Lansing Catholic Central High School or stay at Okemos High School.

“We always talking about it, about where she would go and I would go,” said Tony, “she wanted to stay with her friends at Okemos and I was interested in starting fresh at LCHS.”

Angela Palmer decided to stay at Okemos High and continue playing lacrosse under family friend and coach, Danny Luberto.

She received a full ride lacrosse scholarship from Central Michigan University her sophomore year of high school.

“It’s crazy that I knew where I was headed for college my sophomore year of high school,” said Angela, “

Tony Palmer decided to go the Lansing Catholic Central High School although his twin sister stayed at Okemos. All four years of high school Tony played football, on varsity for three years, under Jim Ahern’s teaching.

As seniors now, Angela knows where she’s headed, Tony is still choosing between several colleges to continue playing football.

These two remain the best of friends even though they attend different schools. Tony is playing basketball for the winter and he’s receiving a lot of support from his sister.

The Palmer twins will graduate from two separate high schools in May of 2016, but they may potentially end up at the same college if Tony decides to walk-on to Central’s football team.
