EAST LANSING - District Game (10/24/15)
There was a little bit of everything - sun, wind, rain at the
Division 2 District Finals held at the East Lansing Soccer Complex Saturday, October 24th.
The Haslett Vikings fought a good fight but it wasn't enough to beat the back -to- back Division 2 State Champs, the East Lansing Trojans.
East Lansing walks away with a close one and Haslett's season comes to an end.
In the first half, Trojan's Zach Lane scored the first goal with an assist from Sam Lebbie.
In the second half, East Lansing's Sam Lebbie scored.
And the Vikings countered with Harry DeHaven scoring 2 goals for Haslett.
Trojan's Zack Lane sealed the victory for East Lansing scoring the last goal of the evening.
East Lansing moves on to Regionals as they play Spring Lake at Cedar Springs Tuesday, October 27th at 5:00 p.m.

EAST LANSING - The Haslett Boys' Varsity Soccer Team has another win tonight .
The Haslett Vikings finished 3 - 1 with a victory over the Ionia Bulldogs in the Division 2 District Semifinals at the East Lansing Soccer Complex.
In the first half, Brian Coscarelli scored a goal off an assist from Torsten Holland giving the Vikings their first lead of the night.
And the Bulldogs answered with an usassisted goal by Captain Avery Baylis with 9:30 left of the first half.
In the second half, it was all Vikings as Haslett scored two goals : One by Harry DeHaven and the other by Paul Fiorillo.
Haslett's Head Coach, Darus Ward said, " Our team is a young team with 5 Seniors, but we are finally starting to connect as a group; I am happy for the guys on the team and with their performance tonight."
The Vikings will move on to play the East Lansing Trojans at the District Finals this Saturday.
East Lansing walked away with an easy sweep beating
St. John's 4 - 0 in their District Game this evening.

The Vikings have not played in a District Final since 2008.
