EAST LANSING - Michigan State University running back LJ Scott, a true freshman, continued to be a breath of fresh air in the backfield and is proving to be an effective one-two punch with fellow freshman back Madre London.

"I saw him break those tackles and kind of kick it into extra gear kind of reminded me of Le'Veon Bell when he was a freshman," MSU quarterback Connor Cook said, referring to Scott's 38-yard rushing touchdown.

London had the bulk of the carries (18) for 103 rushing yards, while Scott amassed 76 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
