HASLETT - Dancers gathered around as Premier Dance Company (PDC) officially opened its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 14th.

The new dance studio is owned by two sisters, Ashley and Alyssa Roehm, who run both the business and artistic side of their new studio.

"The goal of Premier Dance Company is to create exemplary instruction to both recreational and competitive dancers. So, we want to bring the best to our students, the best styles, the best tap, the best hip-hop, the best ballet, (the best) jazz instruction they can find," said Ashley.

PDC offers three competitive dance teams - Pre-Company, Junior Company, and Senior Company - and is already making an impression at National-level competitions.

"We took our Junior and Senior Company to Nationals in Traverse City where they had Platinum performances and won in the Final Showdown. We also had a dancer win a Teen Title for Soloist, as well."
