MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Newton road isn't the prettiest in Meridian Township, but soon it will be newest paved road.

Newton Road runs 3124 ft. from Lake Lansing to Saginaw M-78.

The project will cost $86,000 and $20,000 will be covered by the Township itself. The remaining costs will be assessed among the 14 parcels in the area.

Eyde Construction has no date set in stone for the beginning of the project, but the Township Board set a public hearing date for August 4th.
