MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On June 10th the Meridian Township Land Preservation Advisory Board members took a site tour through the Central Meridian Uplands Preserve after their board meeting.
Members took this tour to get more familiar with the nature found in this area. On the walk members looked at the wetland that was created a year and a half ago. They also observed various plant and animal species while they were walking.
Members enjoyed the pleasant summer weather, and want residents to know that this land is open to the public. Anyone can walk through this area and enjoy the trail.
The Central Meridian Uplands Preserve is on the west side of Okemos Road across the street from Meridian Township Service Center.
