OKEMOS - Okemos pitcher Mitch Kaczmarek had everything going Saturday afternoon in the Chiefs' district semis match-up against Lansing Everett.
His arm notched him a no-hitter, and his bat drove in three runs, essentially enough to win the game by himself.
But he had plenty of help. Okemos smashed hit after hit, and when the boys didn't get all of it, Everett's fielders did the rest of the work for them. Plenty of errors plagued Everett, leaving runners on the base-paths and the runs flowing in.
Okemos takes the easy win over Everett, 16-0, to advance against No. 12 ranked Howell, just minutes later that day.
Unfortunately for the Chiefs, their dominance would end. No more Kaczmarek, meant just enough hits for Howell.
Okemos loses, 3-2, in the district finals, and finishes 19-11 for the year.
