MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Wednesday May 20th, MSUFCU continued its tradition by planting eight trees at Nancy Moore park in Meridian Township.
To help promote their new branch on Jolly Road in Okemos, MSUFCU donated $2,000 of trees to both Meridian Township and Mason, an annual tradition for the credit union.
"MSUFCU employees have volunteered in our parks several times and we are greatly appreciative of their assistance,” said Meridian Township Director of Parks & Recreation LuAnn Maisner.
The credit union started making these contributions to the Michigan Arbor Day Alliance as part of their "Go Green" challenge paperless program. The trees were planted in part with members of MSUFCU and volunteers from the Meridian Township.
