OKEMOS - The captain of Okemos High is taking his talents to Michigan State University.

Okemos senior forward Conner George has been named a preferred walk-on for head coach Tom Izzo and the Spartans.

Standing approximately six-foot-three, George is expected to practice at guard for the Spartans, but don't tell him that. This past season, the captain led his team, scoring 23 points per game with 10.6 rebounds per to boot.

As you can tell from the picture, George is a multi-sport star. Retiring from baseball after his senior season with the Chiefs, all speculation has ended in the hometown hero's chance to be the lead in Space Jam 2.
