HASLETT - The Haslett girls basketball team faced off against Goodrich and were unable to protect their homecourt. Haslett trailed at the end of every quarter break and couldn't find their offensive groove the whole evening. The final score, 55-43 Goodrich. Haslett has only dropped two games on the year with this loss, and January 13th game that saw the Vikings lose 54-50 on their homecourt as well.
Goodrich is one of the better teams in the state and are 9-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play. One reason for their success, is class of 2015 recruit, Tania Davis (5'2) who has committed to play basketball at the University of Iowa. Davis, notched 6 boards, 5 assists, and 24 points in their route of the Vikings.
Despite a poor night of shooting the Vikings did manage to get star junior player Karson Tripp into double figures with 15 points and Kenzie Decook notched 10 points. After the game, coaches from Northwood and Western Michigan were seen scouting the Vikings players.
