LANSING, MI - Community leaders from across the Lansing area came together to talk about the region's plan to protect residents from Ebola.
In attendance were Lansing Mayor, Virg Bernero, Ingham County Health Officer, Linda Vail Chief and Medical Officer McLaren Greater Lansing, Dr. Linda Peterson, just to name a few.
The press conference highlighted the comprehensive steps being taken by our local hospitals, public health agencies, airport, first responders and elected officials to ensure that Lansing area residents are well protected against any possible exposure to the Ebola virus.
While these preparations were being made, the main point that was stressed during the press conference was that the possibility of Ebola reaching Lansing is very low.
