MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Tuesday October 21st, the Meridian Township Board discussed renewing the shared police services contract between Meridian and Williamstown Township.
December 31st, 2014 concludes the second consecutive two-year contract to provide law enforcement services to Williamstown Township. The 2015-2016 contract states that Williamstown Township will pay Meridian Township $207,988.00 per calendar year and $53.91 per hour outside of the 80 hours of weekly patrol for emergency and non-emergency responses.
The Township Board voted in favor to renew the contract in order to share police services between Meridian and Williamstown Township.
According to police Chief Dave Hall, "we've just found that it's been a good working relationship with Williamstown Township."
