MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Construction is moving along for the Whole Foods soon to be located on Grand River Avenue in Meridian Township.
The new store will become the seventh Whole Foods in Michigan.
Construction for this particular store will continued through the winter months.
"Right now we have the footings foundations in, completed," said Project Superintendent Danny Mendering.
"Our paving is scheduled for the second week of October. The masonry will probably start the week after next, and the steel will probably be coming in the end of October."
The Wolverine Building Group turns the project over to Whole Foods on January 1, 2015. Although the construction company has had some issues getting started, Mendering says he expects the store will be opening around Spring of 2015.
