MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Township Board approved the 2013 order to maintain sidewalks special assessment on March 5.

This was an assessment to repair sidewalks in some of the township's subdivisions. The assessment for each property varied with the amount of sidewalk that was repaired.

Notices were also sent to each property owner with a defective sidewalk.

The public hearing for the proposed final special assessment will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
