MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the Township Board meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7, the Human Relations Ordinance was adopted.

Meridian Township residents came out to thank the board for all of the hard work they put into the ordinance the past couple of months and the board thanked each other as well.

Trustee Angela Wilson said, "This is a very proud moment, I think, for Meridian Township to be able to offer protections to all of our residents in employment, housing, and public accommodations. Its been a long time coming and I'm very proud of what we did here tonight."

Thanks to the board, it is only a matter of time until the ordinance goes into effect.
