MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Senior Center will be hosting a Baby Boomer Workshop on October 26th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Meridian Senior Center located at 4000 North Okemos Road, Okemos, MI 48864.

The responsibilities of being an adult child of an aging parent can be overwhelming. The Baby Boomer Workshop at the Meridian Senior Center will help determine how to best meet those complex needs such as: finance, insurance, legal, medical, housing options, and more. Learn how to steer clear of danger spots, tap into the wealth of services and resources in your community, and arrive at a strategy for helping loved ones make the most of their later years.

Guests can listen to expert presenters speak on a variety of topics including: how to get organized, caregiving from a distance, family dynamics, housing alternatives and support services, medical and health issues, legal issues, finance and insurance, government programs and more.

There will also be vendors available to answer questions from different businesses and organizations that work with the older adult populations including: Tri County Office on Aging, Elder Law Attorney Rosemary Buhl, Hantz Financial, funeral consultants and more.
