UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - According to the Ingham County Road Commission, the construction will be completed in mid-September and will be closed to traffic until the end of August.

"The warrants that are required to install a traffic signal, and between the traffic and the crashes, it didn't quite meet the warrants, and because of the steep hill, to the north, that would make it--the traffic signal unsafe, so a roundabout was the selected alternative to resolve primary the crash problem," said Daniel Troia, Project Engineer for the Ingham County Road Commission.

Drivers should expect to get a fine if they are on that intersection during the construction period.
