UPDATE:
EAST LANSING - Roger Smeltekop is a retired professor from Michigan State University. He has been a coordinator of the music therapy clinic and supervisor of student therapists at the MSU College of Music.
Every once a week, a small group of people gather around and Smeltekop leads them by singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments.
This community group of disability for adults was organized by their parents who realized that they had nothing to do after special education program was over. So the parents asked music department at MSU to provide some music for their children and it has been going well since late 1950s.
