MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township celebrated Halloween this year by holding three different events for the community.
Kicking off the Halloween events on October 26, the Parks and Recreation Department held their Spootakular Adventures at the Marketplace on the Green pavilion. Families and children were encouraged to dress up in costume and were able to participate in games, crafts, music and more.
The Police Department held their Halloween Open House on October 29, where the community was able to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a police officer. Kids got to sit in the patrol cars, tour the department and enjoy donuts and candy.
Lastly, the Friends of Historic Meridian also hosted a treats and tour event on October 29 at the Meridian Historical Village. The buildings were open for walk-through tours and trick-or-treating.
