MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) recently announced that Thomas Moore will serve as the Regional Head Librarian of CADL’s Haslett and Okemos branches. Moore’s new role will oversee operations at both the Haslett and Okemos libraries. He currently serves as the Head Librarian of the Haslett branch and will be replacing Betsy Hull, who was the Okemos branch Head Librarian for 12 years before retiring in July.
“What I’m most looking forward to is being able to find new ways to deliver our library services to our residents of Meridian Township,” said Moore. “I think we have a unique community in that we do have two separate communities of Okemos and Haslett, but we’re all part of this one prime community, Meridian Township.”
Moore brings with him 15 years of library experience and began his career at CADL’s Mason and Haslett branches from 2007-2009. He also served as the Head of Adult Services at Delta Township District Library from 2009-2020 before returning to CADL in 2020. To learn more, watch our interview below.
