MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Daniels Drain has been a prominent project in Meridian Township since the Summer of 2021.
The purpose of Daniels Drain is to help improve stormwater infrastructure and restore Walden Pond.
Some updates are happening to Daniels Drain. The contractor is replacing the storm sewer on Hillside Drive working from east to west.
During this time of construction, an increase in traffic will occur due to the amount of trucks supplying sand to rebuild the road.
Cars may have to turn around and reroute if they run into a truck doing construction work. No driveways should be unavailable though.
Project Engineer, Kyle Smith, wants to ensure that everyone in this area is still receiving their mail. If you have not received your mail due to the Daniels drain construction call 734.904.9356.
Along with this, the subdivision of Cornell Woods will be receiving sprinkler and greenbelt area repairs. Greenbelt areas are areas with lots of greenery and vegetation.
Walden pond restoration is going as planned. The pond has filled up and is now discharging through the outlet control structure. Pond restoration will continue as the weather warms up.
