OKEMOS, MI - Klingman’s Furniture and Design held their ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 10th after officially opening in May 2021. Klingman’s previously had a location on West Saginaw in Lansing, before ultimately deciding on Meridian Township.

Klingman's provides a wide variety of furniture for every room, and has a Grand Rapids and Holland store in addition to Okemos. Customers have the option of custom ordering furniture, or choosing something already available on the show floor.

"We are stocking some of our pieces as you see them on the floor in our Grand Rapids warehouse, for things to be more readily available to our customer," said Jacqueline Israels, interior designer and manager for Klingman's. "So we do have quite a few pieces on our show room floor for availability very quickly."

Klingman's has been open since 1896 and has been in James Israels family for three generations, "Klingman's has been around for 125 years. My grandfather started their interior design department, opened up Israels Designs for Living, and then eventually we came to acquire Klingman's from the Victor family."

"It's been a long time coming and we're happy to finally have the products and the staff, and the support of the community to officially call this a grand opening," said James Israels.
