MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The yearly number of building permits granted in Meridian Township this year to date was higher than those granted to date in June 2020. 578 permits have been granted to date, just over 200 more than in June 2020. 1 new apartment building permit has been granted, and 3 townhouses, compared to none in June of 2020.

More than double single family permits were granted, with 19 new single family homes that have been approved for building. Although there have been more total building permits granted this year, the total value of new permits granted have a lower value than June 2020, by around $3 million dollars. This year, total investment value in new permits is expected to reach $58,000,000-$66,000,000.
