Update on New Residential Developments in Meridian Township

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - There are 3 new residential developments coming to Meridian Township. Copper Creek, Newton Place, and Woodward Way.

Copper Creek is a new neighborhood being developed by Mayberry Homes, and is located on the north side of Haslett Road. The new residential area is currently in phase 1 of building with 50 lots available, and 38 other lots in phase 2 of building. This residential area is offering single family homes starting in the high $300’s.

Newton Place is currently being developed by Newton Pointe LLC, and DTN Management Company and they are still in the development process. The new residential area is proposing 225 residential units and is located on the corner of Saginaw Highway and Newton Road. There have been concerns on whether the area is big enough for the development, and whether it’s too close to the Sierra Ridge Neighborhood.

Woodward Way is a part of the affordable housing project and is being funded by the low income housing tax program. The housing project is still in the development process and is set to be built on the east end of Sirhal Drive behind Whole Foods Market.

Updates for these projects can be found on the Meridian Township website.
