MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the April 14th Township Virtual Board Meeting, members revisited Special Use Permit (SUP) #19131 (The W. Investment Holdings). To construct a 4,000 square foot medical marihuana provisioning center on the East side of Central Park Drive at 1614 Grand River Avenue.
The Board discussed this permit at their last virtual meeting on Tuesday, March 31st. The Planning Commission also voted to recommend approval for this permit at their regular meeting on Monday, February 24th.
Township Director of Community Planning and Development, Mark Kieselbach, provided an overview of the permit.
The proposed SUP permit meets necessary setbacks from any public or private K-12 school, church, place of worship or other religious facility, library, preschool, or child care center.
Additionally, the proposed medical marihuana provisioning center will not significantly impact adjacent businesses designed to provide health, safety, and general welfare to the community.
Due to these reasons, the Board decided to vote unanimously to approve the request for this provisioning center.
