MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the Meridian Township Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on April 11th, an applicant requested to build a 192 square-foot accessory building in the floodplain at 4423 Wausau Road.
The floodplain request was approved by the Board with a 3-1 vote.
The Board also heard from an applicant requesting a variance to build a freestanding sign standing at 42.2 square feet at 1841 Newman Road which doesn't comply with Township Ordinance.
The freestanding sign was also approved unanimously by the Board with a 4-1 vote.
The new sign, which will be the merging of two current business signs will feature Ambrose Rehabilitation Center and Brian Carlin DDS, Family Dentistry.
