MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Stalking is a legitimate problem that affects hundreds of people every year. Many cases of stalking go unreported because victims are unsure of what is considered stalking, and what can be done about it.
Stalking can be defined as:
- Constantly following or appearing within sight of another person
- Persistent contact by telephone or email from an unwanted individual
- Appearing at the workplace or residence of another person
- Entering or remaining on an individual's property without permission
These are just a few examples. If residents feel threatened and believe that they are being stalked, they should contact the Meridian Township Police Department at 517-332-6526.
