OKEMOS - The Willows at Okemos recently hosted their grand opening for people from the community to come and see the new campus and meet executives from the home office in Louisville, Kentucky.
People form the hospital, vendors and ancillary services were all in attendance to introduce themselves to the people who will be calling this new place, home.
Director of Business Development for Trilogy Health Services Tim Reardon said they're excited for people to have the opportunity to see this beautiful, new building and meet some of the members and the folks that are going to be working here.
The Willows are not only providing elders with a place to live but also helping the Okemos community by creating jobs.
"The fact that we're going to be part of this Okemos community, not only providing jobs but providing homes and rehabilitation for people, here, in Okemos," Reardon said.
Trilogy actually gets its name from providing the community with three services at one location.
President and CEO of Trilogy Health Services Randall Bufford says that they provide basically three different levels of service. They have a memory care product, people with a need for assistant living and post acute and skilled nursing.
Bufford also said that Trilogy likes to base their activities upon the requests of their residents.
"We've taken residents skydiving, hot air balloons," Bufford said. "One wanted to drive a semi-trailer, so we got a big parking lot. Anything they want to do. That's what we want to do."
Bufford says Trilogy Health Services have a full continuum of services and can meet the needs of most seniors who just need some support.
