MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Winter is coming, folks, and with harsh weather and winter storms around the corner it's vital to be ready for disaster. Especially when driving long, or even short distances.
You should pack, and be prepared for an emergency. Just in case something goes terribly wrong this winter, have the necessary items in the back seat of your car (in case the trunk is inaccessible)
You can purchase a pre-made emergency car kit at most stores, but if you'd like to create your own you can put anything you'd like into it.
Some of the suggested items are as follows.
Jumper cables, warm clothes, or a change of clothes, matches, bottled water, a first aid kit, roadside flares, and food that won't spoil.
Breaking down, or sliding into a ditch can be an absolutely terrifying experience. Hopefully you won't need to use these items, but it's better to have them than have to struggle through a scary situation unprepared.
