MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - After losing his son to opiate addiction in 2011, Phil Pavona decided to go out into the community to make sure no one goes through what his family went through.
He said the first thing he tells people is "I am the face of addiction." He says that addiction can happen to anyone, anywhere, and he wants to break the stigma to get people talking in order to prevent the problem from spreading.
Phil is the Executive Director and founder of Families Against Narcotics Okemos/Ingham County. Watch his story on the next episode of Community Connection on HOMTV.
