UPDATE:
LANSING - Local students were able to fill the long hours of spring break by attending Art Camp at the Lansing Art Gallery.
The gallery offered a morning and an afternoon session which ran Monday through Thursday of Spring Break. The morning session focused on drawing and painting and the afternoon session taught ceramics.
Bria Luu, the instructor for the afternoon ceramics class, said she has been very impressed with her students. They have been easily mastering more advanced ceramics techniques. Bria says that kids need art so that they can have time to be kids, and that even adult artists are kids at heart when they create art.
Both classes had an exhibit at the end of the week to showcase their creations to their friends and families.
