MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township's Public Works and Engineering received a petition to complete the paving of the 535 feet gravel portion of Perry Road from Lake Drive north to the county line.

The Township Board deems it necessary for the public health, safety, and welfare of the Township. These improvements would help with residential non-motorized transportation.

"Our desire is to have substantial significant area for pedestrian or non-motorized movement," said Township Board Trustee Milton L. Scales.

A public hearing for the Perry Road paving was held at the July 15th Township Board meeting. The Board is expected to discuss this item further at their next meeting.
