MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Okemos Road Bridge between Hamilton Road and Mt. Hope Road in Meridian Township still under construction.

The $250,000 project started in March 2016 and caused the closure of the outer southbound lane of Okemos Road - altering the drive from north to South Okemos and from South Okemos down by Jolly Road.

Status of the Project:

Beam 2 repairs started today and are continuing throughout the week.

The support assembly and beam 3 repair is scheduled for next week,and the deck joint reconstruction will begin the week of June 6th.

Once the deck joint concrete is placed, the bridge will reopen to traffic a week later.

Drivers are advised to find an alternate route and can expect delays when traveling in the area.
