MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The State Capitol left session Wednesday without a vote on Medicaid Expansion. Yet, there was some progress.
The legislation to expand medicaid is now moved out of the senate government operations committee on a vote. A voting stalemate on this situation leaves some to believe that getting the medicaid expansion bill pushed through the house and implemented by the January 1, 2014 is "impossible" now.
In a statement from Senator Gretchen Whitmer's News Release on Wednesday, Whitmer said, "the real test of leadership is to pass the bill on the Senate floor and send it to the Governor's desk."
