EAST LANSING - Michigan State University wants to make it known that engineering is not a field only for males.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering is an outreach program that was held in the engineering building on MSU's campus to expose girls to several fields of engineering.

Girls from surrounding cities in Michigan came to participate in hands-on engineering activities.

There were different displays and activities in the engineering building beginning on the first floor and ending on the third floor.

Several of the girls' favorite activity was robotics. They enjoyed interacting with the remote controlled robots.

Many young ladies who attended the program believed it is unfair for boys to say girl cannot be engineers. The girls believe they can do anything that males are capable of doing.
