UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township's Historical Village held their annual Christmas in the Village event on Sunday, December 9th. Many families came out to visit the village despite the cold and rain. There were performances by flautists, singers, and other instrumentalists throughout the two hour event.
Groups of young singers were caroling throughout the village, from building to building.
Many participants in the event were dressed in 1800's themed clothing and offered insight to the structures and items inside of the buildings. Santa Claus was also present! The bearded, sleigh-riding man encouraged children to continue to be good throughout the rest of the year. He lent an ear for Christmas wishes and said goodbye with his ho-ho-ho's.
