• Burning Leaves

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - A reminder to all Meridian Township residents that burning leaves or brush of any kind is not allowed without a burning permit issued by the Fire Department. If residents wish to burn leaves, they must be rural residential and have to contact the Central Fire Station at (517) 853-4791 to receive a permit for that day if the conditions are approved.

The use of barbecue pits also require a permit, however these permits will last the entire year. Fire officials simply wish to inspect the area so that it meets all the permit standards and is deemed safe for the community.
